Executive Summary Business Plan Submission

Awards: First Place $6,000, Second Place $3,000, Third Place $1,000

Important Submission Information:

*Submission should be in the form of an Executive Summary Business plan, no longer than 4 pages.

*Each submission must highlight job growth in Cottage Grove, OR.

Submissions will be judged by a panel of area business leaders, sponsors and investors serving as judges.

These categories will align with LivePlan software that is available for challenge participants who attend the courses put on through Lane Community College.

Your Business Plan Accelerator

Whether your business is in start-up phase or you're planning to grow, completing a business plan is top priority. It not only increases your chances of obtaining financing, but keeps your business strategically focused. Participants receive the support and three months of free LivePlan software needed to successfully complete a business plan in just four class sessions.

‘Your Business Plan Accelerator’ classes for participants are available, free of charge, provided by the Lane Small Business Development Center at LCC. This is a 4 part class that begins March 20 through April 10, 2019. Classes will be held Wednesdays from 8:00am-10:00pm at the Lane Community College Cottage Grove Campus (1275 River Road, Cottage Grove, OR, 97424).

A one day condensed version of this course is also provided for those that aren’t able to take the 4 part course. This will be held Saturday March 16, 2019 from 10:00am to 12:00pm at the Lane Community College Cottage Grove campus.

Participants are expected to attend the Awards Ceremony event on May 22, 2019.

*Participants are invited to bring any promotional materials to the awards event to promote their business endeavors. There will be a small space provided to each participant.

*All Participants should have a 30-second Elevator Pitch and a 5-minute Business Pitch prepared for the Awards ceremony.

30 - Second Elevator Pitch

Each Participant will get the opportunity to pitch to their fellow competitors and will vote on who had the best elevator pitch, winner will receive a special prize!

5-minute Business Pitch

The top 5 Executive Summary Business Plan submissions will present their 5-minute Business Pitch to the room, the room will have investors, judges, participants and community business leaders in attendance. This is the opportunity to sell your business beyond the panel of judges. Best 5- minute Business Pitch will receive a special prize!
